Smith Aerial Photos central lab, located in Fort Lauderdale, FL, receives and processes digital image files from all photographic field locations. Nearly 100,000 images are processed each year. Image files are cataloged, inspected for quality and adherence to client specifications, and then processed in various forms as per order. They may include any or all of the following: paper prints — 4"x5" up to wall murals, CD/DVDs, E-mails, and Smith Aerial’s unique Web service.
At Smith Aerial Photos’ digital imaging stations, image files may be enhanced with respect to color, sharpness or contrast, retouched to add or remove items, and to add text and or graphics such as title blocks.
Over 2 million negatives and digital files which document the development of the Southeast are archived in Fort Lauderdale. |
